Spain overcome Mexico to reach Under-20 quarterfinals

July 4, 2013 by 888Scoreonline

It was rather a bad luck for Mexico or should we say a brilliant comeback from Spain when they came from behind and overcome their pre-quarterfinalist by 2-1 in the Under-20 world cup. Spain, who is already Under-19 European champion, will join other confirmed quarterfinalists France and Uzbekistan in the last eight. The match began keeping Spain as the favorite but when Arturo Gonzalez’s brilliant diagonal shot could not be stopped by Daniel Sotres, it was 1-0 on the scoreboard in Mexico’s favor. We have already seen in Confederation Cup final that what an initial lead can mean for a team, and here, when Mexico got the initial lead, it was like a repeat of Confed. cup final for Spain where they were in a similar situation after Fed’s initial goal. But today was the day for European champions and they showed the world why they are the top ranking team in the world. Soon after an initial trail, Spanish strikers took the game more aggressively by their wonderful shot passes theory, but … [Read more...]

July 2, 2013 by 888Scoreonline

3 - 0 Brazil hails its sovereignty in Confederation Cup by defeating its closest rival Spain by a comprehensive 3-0 margin. It was a magnificent show of brilliant soccer by whole Brazilian team where their defense never let Spanish strikers equalize their lead. Notably, Fred was the man to watch for coz he scored first goal of the match in just 90 seconds of the game. It was third consecutive confederation cup for Latin Americans and they almost crushed Spain who was unbeaten for last 29 matches. Neymar also shined in front of eighty thousands applauded spectators by scoring his brilliant left foot goal in forty fourth minute of the game. Spain got some good chances but it could not capitalize on any of those, in fact, a sure shot penalty shot was missed by Sergio Ramos that made his team’s position even more miserable. Fred fired again in the early moments of the second half by scoring his second goal of the match in forty seventh minute. In fact, the whole Maracana stadium echoed … [Read more...]

Mega showdown lined up between Spain and Brazil in Confederation Cup

June 29, 2013 by 888Scoreonline

In a power pack display of brilliant soccer, Spain beat their close rival Italy by 7-6 in the penalty shootout in the Confederation cup semifinal. The game was a nail biting affair for both the teams, though Italian team was enjoying more fan support than Spanish team for obvious reasons. This is the fourth time Spain could make it to the final of a big international event in last five years which shows how dominating they are in global panorama. Match entered into the penalty shootout when no team could find the post in allotted plus extra time, and even in penalty shootout, first six attempts were also all perfect; it was Jesus Navas who made it a cheering day for Spanish team while Bonucci named himself as the perpetrator for Blues by missing penalty shootout. The whole stadium was jam packed either by spectators or by security personnel coz antigovernment protests have been on peak during the finals, in fact, Sunday final is also expected to face one of the widest nationwide … [Read more...]

Latest FIFA Rankings; Spain tops

November 8, 2012 by 888Scoreonline

FIFA announces its ranking status of top 200 soccer teams on Wednesday, and it includes some of the interesting ups and downs. Spain and German share first and second spots respectively; while Spain’s first place remained intact for it despite its 1-1 draw with France, German’s second spot is a bit of surprise for everyone coz of its disappointed results of the late. Argentina, this time, makes it to the third place leaving behind Portugal after its exciting wins over Uruguay and Chile. One of the interesting changes is in England’s position, which has deteriorated from fifth to sixth place; its ex position is taken over by Italy thanks to its wonderful performance in Euro 2012 final qualifiers. Moreover, Italy gained around ten points out of its brilliant display of soccer in world cup qualifiers too. Another highlight of top ten teams is Russia that improved its position from 12th to 9th position thanks to its remarkable wins over Portugal and Azerbaijan in world cup qualifiers. … [Read more...]

In a recent development, Cristiano Ronaldo expressed his sadness, and many link his sadness with his lesser salary he is getting from the club at this time. Notably, he was the highest paid earner in 2009 when Real Madrid singed him at £200,000 per week, but later, he could not prove his best form and other players overtook him gradually. So, behind the scene events are so developing that there is a newsflash everywhere that the player has asked club to double his salary.
