Swansea City midfielder Jonjo Shelvey, who used to be the Liverpool player until last summer, has apologized to all City fans for his mistakes that allowed his former club to equalize Swans lead and ended match in a draw. Liverpool crushed Swansea by 5-0 in the Premier League
5 - 0 It was like a horror show for Swansea City when they were almost crushed by the Liverpool like never before. It was a surprising comeback by Brendan Rodgers team coz they were missing a win from last five matches in the league. More importantly, it was big relief for Rodgers by defeating none other than his former club. Factually, it was first Liverpool win against a top 10 team of the league, hence this win is being taken as their comeback win in the league and they can again do the same when they meet Swansea again a week later. Britton further extends Swansea deal until 2016
Some players are born to remain with a club they like the most, and English footballer Leon Britton is one such player who again extended his contract with his favored club Swansea City. He has been playing for them since 2002, though he started his career at Liberty Stadium on loan from West Ham United back in 2002, and apart from one occasion when he played at Sheffield United for a short spell, he is being consistently associated with Swansea.
