Manchester City seems to ruling the sky in English soccer these days where they are not only a feasible winner in the Premier League but also in the League Cup. They defeated or we should call crushed West Ham by a huge 3-0 margin in the Capital One Cup at Upton Park. Notably, they were already leading by 6-0 after the first leg and when they again crushed Sam Allardyce side, they registered an earth shattering victory that takes them to the League Cup final for the first time in last 38 years where they would either face Manchester United or Sunderland at Wembley. West Ham about to sign Liverpool’s Stewart Downing
Liverpool is among few clubs in contemporary soccer that usually doesn’t carry the burden of nonperforming players, though they have their own definition of non-performance. Liverpool releases Andy Carroll to West Ham off a £15m transfer fee
An understanding has finally been made between West Ham and Liverpool for England’s striker Andy Carroll at a price of £15 million; this amount is much lower than the amount Liverpool paid for the striker back in January 2011. The price given then was £35m coz of player’s form where he scored as many as 31 goals in 81 appearances for Newcastle United, but unfortunately, he could not continue his decent form playing for Liverpool; hence it has to look around for a buyer of its surplus asset. Dan Potts to have a lengthy hospital stay after a suspected concussion on ground
It was the gloomiest moment of his life when young West Ham defender Dan Potts clash with Bacary Sagna and fell awkwardly on the ground in West Ham’s 5-1 defeat to Arsenal, on Wednesday. Eighteen years old became instantly unconscious and given treatment for a good ten minutes when he woke up and then taken off the field on a stretcher. Looking at the way he stuck his head with another player, everyone had an impression that player could have incurred a concussion which needs an immediate treatment in the hospital. Potts junior is the son of former West Ham defender Steve Potts, the player who has played more than 400 matches for the club during his 17 years spell with them.
