The same old story is repeating again where an ageing player is trying to impress his manager to get more exposure in the league matches, and this time this is being happened with none other than 30-year-old Spanish footballer Fernando Torres who missed the Championship league tour to Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday. In fact, he just participated in fifteen out of thirty played games this league season and now manager Mourinho seems to be ignoring him for European tour as well, which hints he is not having a long career at the Stamford Bridge. You have to have ways to adapt to this situation. Blame the manager? Blame your teammates? Blame everyone? Or ask from yourself a bit more. I think I can do better. I can make Jose think I am the best option. That is what I have to do every day in training, all the matches. I just ask of myself the responsibility.”
However, he accepted that team dressing room is not the same as it has been in last few years as there are many world class players who are a challenge for you, therefore you need to prove yourself every other day to secure your place in the team.
