Toure denies his unsettled reports with Manchester City

November 15, 2013 by 888Scoreonline

Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has been a famous personality off late not for his performances on the field but for his tweets he used to ruled out rumors that he is unsatisfied at Etihad Stadium and wants to leave them. This time, media is not responsible as this is a manmade story where everyone misunderstood former striker Rodney Marsh’s statement and interpreted it as he said 30-year-old is unhappy with last year’s league runner up. Interestingly, he took the help of Twitter to let the world know what actually lies beneath and frankly tweeted, “Hey buddies, don’t listen to the rumours, I’m happy at City. How can I be unhappy when I get so much love and respect from everyone at City;” he also posted a picture of himself along with his brother. Notably, he has been one of the few consistent performers for Manuel Pellegrini’s side who has served them as the vice-captain as well in absence of skipper Vincent Kompany which shows his worth for the club.

Many times, it is believed that when a player reaches to his thirty, his club wants to get rid of him, but it is not with Ivorian footballer since City has already offered him an extension that will knock him with them until 2017. The whole sage was based on a statement made from Rodney Marsh in his interview; many took it as confirmed news despite his acceptance later that he was wrong in guessing his tenure at City. He based his assumption on fellow players who reportedly told him about Toure’s state of mind playing with The Blues. Many are also calling it an intelligent attempt from City rivals to unsettle team’s winning combination coz they are now in knock out stage of the Champions League and if they could sustain their winning streak in the European cup, they can surely make an impressive comeback in EPL too.

Marsh said in his controversial interview, “People close to Manchester City tell me Yaya Toure is not very happy and he’s one of their great players. When you start to hear rumblings from within the camp, and you see the way Toure played last weekend [in the 1-0 defeat at Sunderland], when he was strolling around and didn’t look interested, I’m wondering now if it will all go a little bit the other way.

“It looks like they’re throwing billions of pounds at players but keep coming up short. I think this season could end in tears at Man City.”
