United triumphed Real in front of the record crowd in US

August 3, 2014 by 888Scoreonline

Manchester United started its season with a bang and impressed everybody watching the game with Real Madrid at Michigan Stadium in United States. Perhaps, the friendlier was more than a soccer extravaganza for fans out there as the match becomes the only match to have more than one hundred and nine thousand fans watching the game from inside the stadium. It is a new States record as previous one was held by the 1984 Olympic final that was witnessed by around one hundred and one thousand fans. The game itself gave an overcoming start to Gaal on his English tour as he maintained his winning record with ManU. The Old Trafford side not only dominated the both the halves but also showcased their core strength they are known for – thanks for the newly appointed Dutch manager who looks to be more optimistic for his performance in English career than anyone else. Besides, if we look at his recent attempts to bring brightest talents to Old Trafford, he got success on most of the times – a unique quality that his precedure used to be missing.

The Real’s powerhouse Ronaldo was not among the starting eleven yet he was introduced in the second half but could do a little to save his side losing their preseason friendlier. Apart from him, there is a long army of world class players in Carlo Ancelotti side yet they were nowhere confident to restrict their English rivals who had been in devastating form in the last season, and with this show, they again proved why Manchester United is known as the biggest threat to other league clubs.

Gaal’s next hurdle is Liverpool and he would surely like to maintain his unbeatable record on first English spell though it would be the first time he would see English rivals in front of him. Liverpool, on the other side, is nowhere weaker than Dutch’s army yet sixty-year-old is confident they would enjoy next preseason warmup game with their core strength. Recalling the last game with Spanish giant, he memorizes the Young’s flowing pass involving Welbeck and Rooney and said, “You would come to the stadium just for that goal. It’s a very good result for us and it gives confidence to all the players.

“The game was not a friendly; I had the feeling that Real didn’t want to lose, which is why started with Ronaldo a little bit earlier than. We deserved to win. We are in the right way and we’re missing players like Fellaini, Januzaj and van Persie.”
