Wenger confident for a top four finish with Alexis Sanchez return

February 10, 2015 by 888Scoreonline

Topping the English premier league table has been a dream for every side and even if someone misses the top spot, he aspires for a place among top four to get at least a qualification in the Championship league, hence, practically, anyone getting a place among top is a winner. Arsenal is one such aspiring side who is hard working just to secure a place among the top four despite having been in not so good form off late, yet Emirates side is confident they can make to that position should they could overcome next few games including one against Leicester who is already at the bottom on leaderboard. Manager Arsene Wenger wants to leave aside the burning memories of 2-1 loss to Tottenham at White Hart Lane on Saturday and only looking forward for upcoming games. Arsenal is on sixth place in the leaderboard and if they could win next two games along with favorable results from others, they can mark an entrance among the top four which is the least result Gunners fans would have expected from the Frenchman.

To make his dreams come true, Wenger is confident to have in-form Alexis Sanchez back in the side who missed the last game for hamstring injury. The 26-year-old has fired eighteen goals in the season and justified 32 million pounds Arsenal paid for him to Barcelona. What 65-year-old said about Chilean’s availability, is, “Alexis Sanchez will be back in the group and we don’t have injuries from Saturday. Everybody else looked fine yesterday. He is our best goalscorer and one of our hardest-working players in the team. Physically I think we suffered a little bit on some occasions on Saturday and it is good to have him back.”

“Back in full training this week,” he added about Jack Wilshere. “I don’t know exactly, we have to monitor him on a daily basis and see how he develops. Oxlade-Chamberlain is about two weeks. We just have to focus on our game. We are responsible for what we produce on the pitch and we have to continue to move forward and deal with all the rest.

“The rest is not to influence us. What is important is that our ambition and the way we want to play has to be the strongest influence. We had a very strong run just before Saturday. We just want to continue that and respond very strongly to the disappointment.”
