After few ups and downs in the last few seasons; Italian footballer Alessandro Matri joined back AC Milan where he started his international career. He was formally released by Juventus which also ends Goeba’s summer transfer dealings of preseason. Actually, the deal was in discussion for quite some time; perhaps everyone had been fed up of knowing that he could join Milan and Friday was the day when Serie A club formally announced its new player via club’s twitter and TV channel. Ten years ago, Matri, Milan academy product, started his career at an age of eighteen against Piacenza and now when his reappointment news flashed in the media, conflicting views were seen across the board, like a fan displayed a banner bearing, “Matri: no thank you! The defence and midfield need strengthening and you shouldn’t be thinking of anything else,” which indicates that a large section of fans has rather a gut feeling about his selection. Gonzalo Higuaín, a well-known Argentinian forward who plays for Italian club Napoli, got some deep scratches on his face recently when he was trying to get off from a yacht at Campania coast. His injury was enough for an immediate treatment; perhaps he badly needed some stiches on his face, so he rushed to a nearby Capilupi hospital where he got the required treatment, and here started the problem. Looking at these figures, defending league champion Manchester United is now trying to expand its fans base in this region as well. We all know United is running through lots of sponsorship deals in China and other eastern countries, but this is probably the first time when Reds have signed a contract with Indian tyres manufacturer Apollo Tyres Ltd.
