Alessandro Matri joins back AC Milan

August 31, 2013 by 888Scoreonline

After few ups and downs in the last few seasons; Italian footballer Alessandro Matri joined back AC Milan where he started his international career. He was formally released by Juventus which also ends Goeba’s summer transfer dealings of preseason. Actually, the deal was in discussion for quite some time; perhaps everyone had been fed up of knowing that he could join Milan and Friday was the day when Serie A club formally announced its new player via club’s twitter and TV channel. Ten years ago, Matri, Milan academy product, started his career at an age of eighteen against Piacenza and now when his reappointment news flashed in the media, conflicting views were seen across the board, like a fan displayed a banner bearing, “Matri: no thank you! The defence and midfield need strengthening and you shouldn’t be thinking of anything else,” which indicates that a large section of fans has rather a gut feeling about his selection. The deal amount and tenure are not yet revealed officially … [Read more...]

Martinez eagerly waits for United’s bids before window closes

August 30, 2013 by 888Scoreonline

Everyone knows money rolls in soccer; in fact, a transfer window is the biggest marketplace where millions of dollars change their hands coz this is the period when clubs bid for other clubs’ players, hence everyone waits for a lucrative offer before window’s deadline closes. This is something that is being happened with Everton’s manager Roberto Martinez who is curious to see United placing a bid for two of his players: Leighton Baines and Marouane Fellaini. He got the news of defending club’s interest from media sources and when United did not respond, he got angry with the whole transfer window threshold coz only four days are left in current one. Out of two players, Baines has reportedly requested himself to the manager to let him go while Fellaini is another dissenting player who wants to leave Goodison Park. Actually, United could be looking for more bargaining prospects with current aspiring players along with desperation their clubs have shown, and moreover, if these transfers … [Read more...]

Napoli boss is too upset with Higuain medical treatment in Capri

August 29, 2013 by 888Scoreonline

Soccer stars think they are out of this world, and that is why they should always be treated with greater care and respect, and when this doesn’t happen to them; they start raising questions about their sovereignty. Gonzalo Higuaín, a well-known Argentinian forward who plays for Italian club Napoli, got some deep scratches on his face recently when he was trying to get off from a yacht at Campania coast. His injury was enough for an immediate treatment; perhaps he badly needed some stiches on his face, so he rushed to a nearby Capilupi hospital where he got the required treatment, and here started the problem. Reportedly, his stiches were so badly executed that his face was looking really awkward, in fact, it looked like an experimental job by a novice medicare personal and when his photo was viewed by club chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis, he got angry and called his solicitor to file a €100m medical claim on the hospital. This is actually a unique case in soccer fraternity in itself … [Read more...]

Manchester United expands its arms to Indian subcontinent

August 28, 2013 by 888Scoreonline

India is the third largest democratic country in the world and that is why it has the second largest population too, but looking at the level of soccer in this part of the world, it is rather pity, however, there is no scarcity of fans loving English Premier League; perhaps there are more fans in India for league matches than anywhere else. Looking at these figures, defending league champion Manchester United is now trying to expand its fans base in this region as well. We all know United is running through lots of sponsorship deals in China and other eastern countries, but this is probably the first time when Reds have signed a contract with Indian tyres manufacturer Apollo Tyres Ltd. This could be a path breaking step by Old Trafford club, coz, until now, these big babies used to mark their presence only on those places where football is among top two sports while India is famously known for its cricket and hockey madness, yet in some parts of India, there are many small clubs who … [Read more...]

It has been around one week Barclays Premier League’s season 2013-14 kicked off, but tomorrow will be the first day when two contenders for the title will meet each other in front of thousands of cheering fans. While Chelsea is being led by its new manager Jose Mourinho, United is also going to be mentored by a new face: David Moyes and world are eager to see how two contemporary soccer minds lead their teams to prove their league supremacy. On the other hand, Blue’s long time aspirant Rooney continues to be the headlines stealer for Chelsea as Mourinho is likely to place his third bid for the striker while he has already been told on last occasions that he is not for sale. Another controversy seems to be unearthing around Rooney, and that is; Mourinho is being blamed by both United and home fans for his failure to sign United’s dissenting player, coz former Everton manager considers him as a second option after another United forward Robin van Persie who has also been on his radar for … [Read more...]
