AC Milan’s most talked about high profile coach Massimiliano Allegri has announced his retirement after current season and reason he told is his failure to secure a good position for Milan in both Serie A and Championship League. If we look at their current season’s performance in both domestic and European leagues; they are 13th at home with around 27 points gap from leader Juventus and on European front, they are 17 points outside of the CL places which is not in the comfort zone of a man who won them Serie A title in 2011. This season is going to witness some high profile changes at the top, coz after Allegri’s apparent resignation, general manager Ariedo Braida is also said to be leaving his post. It has been more than 25 years passed by Braida served the Italian club; in fact, he contributed in as many as eight Scudettos and five European Cups for Rossoneri. Confirming his exit from San Siro, 46-year-old coach said, “Of course this is my last Christmas at AC Milan. I do not know … [Read more...]

Soccer is always considered a money rolling game where everyone seems to be running after it. After few ups and downs in the last few seasons; Italian footballer Alessandro Matri joined back AC Milan where he started his international career. The deal amount and tenure are not yet revealed officially … [Read more...]
Fiorentina shrinks Milan’s chances for a second place Serie A finish
Nothing could be worse than watching your two goals lead equalized by a team having just ten players on the field. This is something that happened with AC Milan who gained two goals initial lead yet they could not earn full points coz their host successfully followed their lead and ended the game in a 2-2- draw. Milan was hoping to earn full points just for making it sure they will end up their Serie A campaign with a second place, but Fiorentina capitalized their two late penalties and equalized the game. Milan was on target right from the beginning when former Viola midfielder Riccardo Montolivo scored first goal of the game in the 14th minutes. Their initial lead also cemented by a red card to Nenad Tomovic in the 39th minute and reduced their opponent’s strength significantly. Within one hour, Frenchman Mathieu Flamini enhanced their lead by another goal; now things were very much in Rossoneri control until Adem Ljajic and David Pizarro could manage to equalize their edge in the … [Read more...]
